“You make me brave.” - 3 yr old 🎤’ed Emi & her Papa captured on a Christmas Day, 2022. . I’ve mostly been with the kids this holiday season- you might’ve noticed that I haven’t been posting as much the last few weeks. It was intentional. But today I had a few hours to sit down at my computer and edit. I started scrolling to get inspired. I started seeing everybody’s 2022 recap videos- beautiful compilations of memories from the year. All of a sudden I felt a surge of energy, and I started thinking, “I have to edit something like that…” Which quickly turned to, “why didn’t I prepare something like that, why am I perpetually behind…” Quickly the surge started to transform to stress. I stopped and asked myself, “What is it you want to share in this moment? What will make you happy to edit right now?” I knew the answer. I felt calm and excited and was teary eyed as I edited this today. So as we enter the new year, 2023, I leave you with this little moment- a reminder perhaps, of the power of connection in making us feel loved, supported, and brave.
