Authorities seized a laptop, a server, and a mobile phone containing 140,000 illicit files, as well as financial records showing transactions worth 3.5 million baht from cryptocurrency payments. Steffen reportedly managed two dark web sites, attracting over 10,000 subscribers. He has confessed to running the operation after retiring and moving to Thailand. He now faces multiple charges, including possession, distribution, and trade of child pornography for commercial gain, with the possibility of extradition for further prosecution.
